Welcome to my Five Rites Experiment
Here, I’ll be tracking my progress through the Five Tibetan Rites as described in the Original Versions of “The Eye Of Revelation” by Peter Kelder.
My wife and I are doing these together. She will also be launching a blog to track her progress.
So, today was Day 1 of the Five Tibetan Rites.
As described in the Eye Of Revelation, we start the Five Rites this week with just 3 Reps.
We will also slowly incorporate the dietary recommendations into our practice.
A Little Background About Me and the Five Rites
Well, I have been practicing the Five Rites for years. Mostly on and off. Then in 2009, I committed to focusing on the Five Rites as my only form of exercise. I refrained from any drinking and gave up pork (and I LOVE Pepperoni).
In a few months, I was in the best shape of my life (33 years of age currently). I even made it to 50 Repetitions of each of the Five Rites.
Well, in October, we went to Vegas for my wife’s birthday….and I gave in to Sin City.
Since then, I have been totally off my practice for a while. I’ve been drinking too much and eating too much. Now, I am out of shape.
HOWEVER…..
A lot of this was planned.
In December, I wondered what it would be like to let myself go for a few months and then use the Five Tibetan Rites to get myself back in shape.
This would show people that the Five Tibetan Rites, as described in the Original “Eye of Revelation” are enough exercise to keep you fit and provide youthful vigor.
So…This Five Rites Blog Was Born
Soon, I’ll be posting pictures of me as I begin this course. (My Before Pics)
I’ll be keeping you regularly posted with my progress and I welcome your comments.
I do want to point out that I practice ONLY the Original Five Rites, and not the “modernized” versions that are out there. I also practice the “Sixth Rite” and will be doing many of the other meditative practices described in the Original Texts.
If you need copies of the Original 1939 & 1946 books, leave a comment saying so, and I’ll arrange something for you.
Well, this is all for now. I should be posting more info soon. I’ll be brushing up this ugly WordPress Theme too. LOL

Hello,
I am so happy to come across your blog.
I have tried the Rites several times, loved them but then for no apparent reason.
I will look closely at your blog for inspiration!

I’m hoping that type of thing will get more people interested though.
Did the 5 rites several years ago with great results. Tried to do them again recently and am having trouble completing them.
Please send me the 1939 & 1946 books. Hope they will work better for me now.
Thank you very much!
Char
Hey Char,
Hope you enjoy the 1939 edition.
The 1946 edition will be available soon. I will let you know when it is.
I’m thinking about doing an Audio Book version too. Not sure though.

I never head about these rites until a few hours ago. I was just researching the five rites for a freelance project. I thought it would be interesting to begin doing it myself, track my progress and blog about it BUT I found your site during my research so I guess you beat me to it
I will be reading your blog for inspiration!
Hey, the more the merrier.
Keep in touch. I may add Multi-User functionality to the blog and then others will be able to blog about their own experiences here.
This is what I want to encourage.
Also, if you want to do them properly, make sure you have the original books.
You can download it for free here.
great post as usual!
